But the film’s bold, heroic orchestral score by seven-time Shyamalan musical collaborator James Newton Howard stands up quite well on its own. Largely eschewing the impressionistic chimera of The Sixth Sense and his Academy Award-nominated score for The Village, the composer takes a more forceful, thematic approach that effectively forges the European orchestral classicism of John Williams with the contemporary synth-fusion bombast of Hans Zimmer. Yet despite some obvious genuflection to action film conventions, Newton Howard still manages to suffuse the soundtrack with his own distinctive textural intrigues and masterful sense of ethereal introspection.

而事實上聽到這張原聲的第一時間就難以抑制內心的興奮與激動，忍不住先放出這段經過重新梳理編排的交響詩——《氣宗組曲》(Airbender Suite)，
和《馴龍記》的生花妙音一樣，這又是一部表現力極為強烈的作品，令人對影片本身的期待值和認識度又提高了一層。

在眾多的樂章中，個人最喜歡的莫過於真的充滿氣場感的《前往北水部落》(Journey to the Northern Water Tribe)，尤其是中間部分打擊樂鏗鏘有力的精彩表現，
不禁讓人想起了《金剛》(King Kong)中那足以使人激動亂神的鼓陣齊鳴，再配上徐徐推進的昂揚弦樂，
那種令人心潮澎湃的感染力足以浮想聯翩出一連串栩栩如生的華麗壯美畫面。[表情] [表情] [表情] [表情]
此外，詹姆斯那足以令人體液在腸內翻湧攪動的弦浪，這次再有極度飽滿搶耳的情緒張力表現，
一曲《我們現在是神》(We Are Now the Gods)足以讓喜歡詹姆斯以往創作的粉絲再度瘋魔。
